Literary and Art Museum "Chudomir"

The Chudomir Literary and Art Museum is a municipal cultural institute dedicated to the life and work of the distinguished Bulgarian writer, humorist, artist and local historian Dimitar Chorbadzhiyski - Chudomir. It was declared an architectural monument of culture of national significance by Protocol No. 15 of the National Committee of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria of 03.12.1998. After the construction of an additional building, the museum complex was opened in 1979. More than 15,000 original manuscripts, drawings, sketches, letters, books and personal belongings of Chudomir and his wife, the artist Mara Chorbadzhijska, are preserved in the museum, some of which are displayed in the open-air exhibition. It is the headquarters of the Chudomir Cultural Foundation, which takes care of the preservation and promotion of his rich creative heritage.
