Monument in memory of "Those who laid their bones at the altar of the Fatherland"

The monument in the village of Tulovo is a stepped stone structure in the shape of an obelisk. The column is divided into two tiers by decorative cornices, and its top ends with a cross. Below the cross is a badge of honour flanked by a wreath and the inscriptions "In memory of those who laid their bones at the altar of the Fatherland. From their grateful fellow villagers - Tulovtsi" and "Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Vassilev Kyurkchiev, killed in 1945 in Hungary". On the other three sides of the column are inscribed the names of the fallen, some of which are also embedded with photographs in oval frames.
