Description
The monument is located in the park next to the Gurkovo bus station. It represents a mother mourning her sons who fell in the conflict. It was unveiled on 1 May 1977 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation. It was built with funds raised by the pioneers and Komsomol members of Gurkovo.
