Description
The Griffins mound was built on the southern periphery of an existing mound. It has a domed chamber, a rectangular ante-burial chamber with a gabled roof flanked by a monumental facade to which a large dromos has been added. The entrance to the ante-burial chamber is sculpted like an edicule, incorporating an Ionic door frame and a pediment with palmettes.
